Give me some ideas. I don't make a lot of money and have a two year degree. I'm an artist and enjoy cultural things like live music and parks where you can ride your bike on a sunday.

Depends on how far you are willing to go. I live in Lewisville, NC (which is close to Winston-Salem). The triad area is a nice place to live (Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point). There are many smaller communities inside the triad area that are very nice places to live, Lewisville is one of them. Clemmons, Kernersville, King, Tobaccoville, Pfafftown, Rural Hall, Advance and many others. You could do some research and see if there are any places for you to work in one of the cities and check out some of the smaller towns or communities for cost of living and entertainment.

I agree with you about getting out of Charlotte, I can't stand even driving through there it gets so congested!

If I can help, feel free to drop me a line...

I just recently lived and Charlotte and Just recently moved out. A great place to go is to come where I moved to. There is a little town named Lake Park in Indian Trail, NC. It is the perfect place. There are basketball courts, swimming pools, it's a great neighborhood to walk and bike. It is the perfect neighborhood. There is also and event there every last Friday of the Month called Movies in the Park. There is a big screen at one of the parks and everyone comes to the park and enjoys a movie with free drinks and popcorn. There is also 15 lakes that you can fish in. In the town, there is also little condos and townhouses that are beautiful. It also has it's own sheriffs and hair salon, chinese restraunt, and many other little stores. I'll tell you that it is the best place to live. Tell me how it goes!! For more info, you can go to lakeparknc.gov

Eugene Oregon.
It's a biking and jogging city, full of bike paths along most streets and in the many parks, even a number of hiker/biker bridges across the rivers there. It's also an artsy city, well known for that.

Atlanta is great-although housing is rather expensive but it is a very nice city for culture and the arts and has tons of parks and recreation areas.

I guess that just depends on what kind of setting (mountains, desert, plains, beaches) interests you, and if you want to live in a huge city or a small town. I found a website that might help you decide where you want to go: www.findyourspot.com ... It matches people up with different cities. Its pretty cool, you should try it.

You might want to consider Seattle, WA. It is a very cultured city with plenty of artistic outlets.

Come to New York City. It sounds like an ideal place for someone like you. (You won't regret the move.)
