I live outside of Boston, it's not bad but I don't like how cold it can get around here. We're friendly but not friendly enough. I liked visiting manhattan but too many people, expensive, and of course the winters have got to be as bad as the ones here. So- Suggestions? I also want to go to school full time work part time .

Frederick, MD

Friendly people. Growing community. Excellent education (Hood College, Frederick Community College, Mt. St. Mary's College), convenient to Baltimore and DC. Winters not as bad as Boston, but we have a more temperate climate.

Try Austin, Texas. It's considered a more "liberal" city in the heart of "conservative" country. I'm assuming the university culture there would be somewhat similar to that in Boston or New York.
