Finally, I know nothing about "being goth." Go buy some pastels, they are in style again!

First off, real goths can wear whatever they like, since its a worldview, not a fashion statement. So wear what you like.
Goths have lots of choices in what they can wear. Here are some possibilities:
Wear the aforementioned deep colors such as deep reds, purples, blues, greens, and wines. They tend to look good with everything, and are still in the traditional "goth" style.
Wear white -- as long as we're talking about romantic garb. Ethergoths go for a ghostly look, so long flowing white garments are ideal.
Go neon --Cybergoths and Perkygoths mix their black stuff with bright, over the top colors. The trade off is you'll always look like you're an android from the future who's going to a rave.

you just cant "make" yourself goth....you can have a goth influenced style, but being goth isn't about fashion, its an attitude. goths are generally depressed, quiet, keep to themselves, they are poetic. going to hot topic and buying fishnets, and red eye smudge won't make u goths...and if u think that will then the real goths are gonna tell u that u are a poseur and make fun of you and give u ****....maybe if u put on a lil black and red eye make-up, put some streaks in your hair, and alternate goth fashion and your personal style...and you'll be goth-influenced...and not a poseur.

Just be an emo. Its just like goth but you dont have to wear black.

Maybe you shouldn't try to fit into a stereotype, or stereotype what you call "goth" people by saying they wear all black.

sounds like ur MAKING urself goth, ppl who wanna be goth LIKE to wear black. but i've seen ppl with blonde and green and black hair. also lots of dark green and red.

These are some of the colors that are included in my closet besides black.
* deep purples
* army greens
* creamy ivorys (usually wore under black lace shawl)
* dark reds and maroons
* midnight blues
* charcoal grays
* silvers
I think it is all about layering and the right accessories.

goth is all about black , black , black . its a fashion . if you want to go goth do it . who says you have to dress that way everyday . this is America land of choices . ware a white wedding dress tomorrow if you want to . or choose a neon green pant suit . its all up to you.
