Greatest movie of all time does not need to apeal to everyone. We have to take in to consideration only Storyline and Plot, Cinimatography, Special Effects, Action Sequences, Dramatic Dialogue, and Dynamics.

Donnie Darko(Jake Gyllanhaul), A Beautiful Mind(Russell Crow and Jennifer Connely) And The hours(Meryle Streep, Julliane Moore and Nicole Kidman). I don't know which is the best but I think these are the greatest movies of all time.

I would have several, Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Sunset Boulevard, Quiet Man, and The Adventures of Robin Hood (ok, that one is because I just love Errol Flynn)

well rewatchability has to be one of the criteria and another has to be one that appeals to men and women at the same time and also is fit for children to see.
This rules out all horror, most action and romance and psychological thrillers but in the running is many comedies and adventure movies. Nominations perhaps would include Mr. Mom, E.T. and A Christmas Story but one movie that has everything and is suited for everyone and definitely rewatchable (and not just at Christmas is... (drum roll)

there are so many movies i dont think you can call just one the greatest movie of all time but if i had to pick one i would probably say the african queen with humphrey bogart and katherine hepbourne it has great actors nice plot and it makes me feel all fuzzy inside when i watch (another movie that does that is amelie if your into that)

for me i believe the thew greatest movies of all time would be matrix &lord of the rings trilogies for both the entire film was (the land scapes actions etc) were cgi animations and they have done it well too its very hard to make out the difference between real and animation.
