Try a ford freestyle, great on gas and it has the safety and security of the volvo since it is sitting on the volvo chassis. they start at 25900 and have a lot of standard equipment. Third row seat is standard and with the bench seat in the middle row you can seat 7. Don't know what area you are in but right now ford has 0% for 72 months on the 06s. 27 mpg with front wheel drive highway and 24 with AWD Good luck.

Get a suburban with a diesel, or a Ford excursion with a diesel. About the only things that come with a diesel engine in the US.

Get a toyota lucida or estima. they have 7 or 8 seats depending on the model. They are a japanese import, but have all the specs of a Previa at a fraction of the cost. I have one, and they run like a dream.

buy a volvo.. theyre boxy, but theyre better than any renault product... well maybe alonsos F1 car, but thats hardly renault is it... i mean, thyre built in oxfordshire, by british engineers...

my one cost me 300 quid off eBay 4 years ago... last year it cost 2 quid for the MOT..yep, one wiper blade.. ok, so its 18 years old, but its got a fuill service history, and only 153000 on the clock. its a 2.4tdi and does 40mpg at 80mph... oh yes, its never been welded, and its stil got its original wheelarches and wings...

instead of buying a modern piece of junk, buy a top of the range car, from a quality manufacturer thats a few years old... itll still be running perfectly when your renault is in the great scrap yard...rusting to death.

Mitsubishi Spacewagon - a few years old. Great. Very reliable and smart looking too. Depends how much you want to pay of course but there are some bargains around!

Dodge was the first to produce the (CARAVAN)they also seem to maintain the market on it and they have come a long way since its inception. This is really the best vehicle and they offer a sporty look as compared to the woody look of old. also have a nice warranty!
