Cancer Treatment
Artemisinin is under early research and testing for treatment of cancer. Artemisinin has a peroxide lactone group in its structure. It is thought that when the peroxide comes into contact with high iron concentrations (common in cancerous cells), the molecule becomes unstable and releases reactive oxygen species. It has been shown to reduce angiogenesis and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor in some tissue cultures.
Also...Check out Agaricus Blazei in a search engine. It is a medicinal mushroom grown for cancer fighting properties. A huge seller in Japan.

I refer to Beating Cancer With Nutrition by Patrick Quillen, and How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Mike Murray when I want good useful info about natural approaches to this awful disease. Neither mentions Artemisinin to my knowledge. Have you looked on Wikpedia or tried the Yahoo search engine?
