The long solution is to eat healthily and do lots of cardio (doing stomach exercises are a myth, all you do is get toned muscles under your fat - the only way to lose the fat is to burn it up with cardio). The short solution is to buy clothing especially pants which are the right size but more importantly are more relaxed in the tummy area. In my experience the best styles for this are low rise (not super low though; high waisted pants are a bad idea they just make your tummy look bigger) pants with a slim fit/straight leg (not skinny leg, do yourself a favour don't go there, no one looks good in those pants) as the stomach will fit you without the legs being baggy. Wear less clingy tops (a slightly thicker material will be more flattering) or shirts. I know all this from personal experience as I carry more weight in my tummy too and trust me if you lose weight you can slim down that area, I have. Good luck!

Hmm, first off, there are many different workout moves I could suggest to you:
1) Lie on your back in sit-up position. Lift your legs up half-way into the air so your feet are parallel to your eyes. Then, push right elbow towards your left knee as you place your right foot to the side of your left knee, repeat this move on the other side, and do sets of 10 three times. Do this move 3-5 times in a week, and it will slim down the sides of your waist. It really works; I've tried it before.
And there are other ones you can find in various websites and magazines; try Seventeen and Glamour Magazine workouts and the Nike website for other workout plans.

To minimize the appearance of your muffin top without working out, I would suggest not wearing really fitted tops. Try a cute tank top or cami with rouching on the sides, (where you can pull on the strings to make the top shorter/longer), along with a cute cropped jacket. Cropped jackets stop at your waistline, which helps minimize it.
