I did that and used bleach and never told my mother. Fortunately the purple flowered bedspread did not lose its flowers.
I would try ink removers first. Goo Gone claims to remove ink. If you use bleach, try it on a rag that you soak in the ink and then try it on a part of the duvet that doesn't show. It could leave the ink and take out the duvet cover.

You can get ink eraser pens in stationary shops. They look like a white felt tip. Only cost about a pound. Try one of them on it, it should work and then you won't have to wash the whole duvet.

I don't know if this will help but when ever i get an ink stain on my clothes or somewhere else I use hairspray to get it out. If it's a huge spill it might not work. Try taking it to the cleaners. They should have stuff to get it out. Good luck....

Hairspray will remove ink, you need to completely saturate it with the hairspray. Any kind will work but I found the aerosol works the best. You may need to use the hairspray more than one time.

Milk removes ink but you have to get it fast. Keep the stain wet.

if you go to a store you will find this magic stuff that's called tide to go...if it's happened more than 24 hours ago, this won't work, but use regular detergent and scrub by hand for 5-10 min....it may come out but i can't guarantee anything
