Only date people you know well. Develop friendships with people, with no intent of ever having a romantic relationship together; so you both can be your real selves around each other. In the future, in one or two of your relationships, attraction will develop. The attraction will be based on internal qualities and not on superficialities like looks. Save sex for marriage, so they are not using you for sex, your relationship will not be built around sex, and you will both have something to look forward to.

I like it when someone is obsessed with my looks or just uses me for sex. But of course, I'm a guy so my advice really won't help.

you just make sure that when you find someone who is interested in you that they are interested in the person that you are. Your instinct should tell you, and if someone is using you for sex or just with you for your looks, then no offence, you have allowed it to happen. If you're going to be an adult, you have to think like an adult and be aware of what the other person's interests are.
