When I was younger I used to go tadpooling in the dykes and keep them until they hatched as baby frogs. My Mum use to have a pond and I would often try to catch the frogs near the pond. Trouble is they move as quick as lightening and it;s no easy task.
Thanks for the memories.

Well ehhh, (blushing) a frog cought me 2 times!!! I'm not at all scared of them but when I was in Africa Tanzania. In my room I had one living in my slipper, needless to say the first encounter was the frog holding on to the slipper as it flew trough the room!
The second frog also in the same place, well that was missing about 50 heartbeats... I went to the toilet, and when I turned to flush.. as I flushed a mad looking frog, just looked me in the eye and held on just under the seat (A habit of mine now a days, always check the bowl...)
It took me ages to convince him to leave the bowl, and he did finally, just to return after I was gone an hour...
So Frog 1 me 0
In my guarden I have frogs but all very shy, the toads are numerous thow and wonder about the house often. I just pick em up end put them back! (my dogs leave them alone as the taste is not that good sensing from the look on their face when they tried!!!)

Used to catch loads as kids - big ones and baby ones - but never hurt them or kept them, looked at them for a while and then let them go.
Used to catch frog-spawn too and watch the tadpoles develop into frogs.
Oh the simplicity of childhood.

I've never caught a frog, and I'm glad you let the one you caught go back. Where had you caught it?

yes. I then used it as fish bait and caught a nice small mouth bass. You have to come up behind them.
Also if you don't want to hurt the frog, never hadle it with dry hands, the coating on thier skin will stick to you and the frog with get sick

I caught a bull frog once, and turned him in to the authorities. he was wanted for excessive hopping in a residential zone. He croaked, after spending three years in the state penitentiary.
