Seriously, gosh. I'm just so sarcastic and my parents are so not cool that they just don't get sarcasm! I want a dad like John Ritter's character in "8 Simple Rules." His daughters were always sarcastic but he never tried to pull their pony tails out of their heads! Oh well, I hate it because all I ever do is like to talk back to everybody with sarcasm--even if they're my parents. But they're so touchy-feely and it's pretty darn annoying. So am I the wrong one here? They say my sarcasm is disrespect. I say they just need to get a sense of...whatever it is they need.

If you are being disrespectful, talking back, using sarcasm to make them look or feel stupid or bad you deserve a whack. Sarcasm as joking around is alright.

Well, if that's the case, then I would advise you to stop being "disrespectful." My parents are okay with sarcasm to a point, but what are you saying that offends them so?

wait till you get your own kids, then see what your feeling and thoughts are. and to be honest with you, for all you had too say it was so good to see no cussing, which tells me, its growing pains on all your sides, most of the "KIDS" would have had your comments filled swearing.and poor me attitude
