My girlfriend just bought me a new fancy smancy pink dress shirt and a pair of pink slacks. She really wants me to wear it tommorow, but would gay people try to hit on me if I did wear it and would my fellow co-workers think I'm nuts?

*Disclaimer, I am not homophobic, in fact most of my friends I have are lesbians.* If my girlfriend really wants me to wear it, I will, damn love can make you do stupid things.

First I think you're sweet for wanting to please your girlfriend - and if you like the way you look in the outfit then GO FOR IT. The color of your shirt or pants do not make the "man" -- it's who you are! BTW pink and other "girly" colors have been very hot in the men's fashion world of late - so more than likely you'll be trendy instead of a fashion statement that says "i need help" (smile).

Your girlfriend is a lucky lady!

BTW if you explain to friends and co-workers who bought the outfit for you I suspect they'll understand and empathize (even respect you for it)

Pink is becoming a fad for guys. o_O;

From a "fashion" point of view, I'd say don't wear it unless it's a powder kind of pink. Hot pink, neon pink or flourescent pink is blinding (the bad kind). I personally don't like tops that are the same colour as the bottoms, so I'd change that to maybe white bottoms.

Then again, love does indeed make you do stupid things. So if it doesn't really bother you, then wear it to please your girlfriend.

Your co-workers may think you're nuts, but I don't think gay/bi people would hit on your especially if your gf is going to accompany you.

Good luck. xD

I don't think you should wear both at the same time- two articles of the same color at the same time never looks good together. Pink is in right now so wearing one or the other will not make you "look gay". And if you're fine enough, I'm sure anyone will hit on you!

Your gf has a poor fashion sense if she wants you to go pink on pink!! Forget the homosexual question, it's a matter of good taste. A pink shirt is fine coupled with black or gray pants, but PINK? Do us a favor - Drop the pants! LOL,
There is love and then there is a ss kissing, don't be pussy-whipped!

You're a male, it appears... I'm straight, female, this is my opinion:

No matter what you wear, gaydar for the most part can i.d. you as "straight, in pink", and most gays will merely enjoy the sight (well, if the outfit looks good, lol). I wish more straight folk would loosen up and enjoy color and style more freely; you can help this movement along...

IF a man makes a pass at you, keep your cool, be friendly and say, " oh, no thank you, I already have a boyfriend", and squeeze your gf.

You're sweet to consider doing this for your gal.

A pink shirt can be very sexy on a confident man but pink pants? Total disaster!!! Too much pink. Pastel colors should be used in moderation on a man.

Suggestion: Have girlfriend watch "What not to wear"

I think they will think you are caught in a time warp back to the 80's when Miami Vice was on the air...great looking outfit, just so then. Hey, wear it, make the fashion statement, and start a new trend..I will if you will. I have no problems with any colors...colors are NOT gay, they are colors. Get a life and get over it. Why are you so insecure?

No but I would assume you like pink. alot of guys from my school wear pink and think its manly. They say a real man wear pink. Honestly who cares its a color. I personally don't like pink but that doesn't mean other people can't. Where all the pink you want man.

No. A Couple of morons might but then those people are the same type that would try to prepare a meal of fried chicken and watermelon for black people(you know, a combination of stereotyping and just blatant ignorance.) Worrying about their opinion is just sad and not worth it..
I don't wear pink(I don't like it).

I dont think so, but that might be to much pink for a female let alone a male. Id just wear the shirt and no the pants.
