Put aluminum foil on each ear, then attach a wire from the TV base where the rabbit ears attach, running a long antenna wire from the TV to the ears so that the ears which will be attached to the long wire can be near a window. Set the ears on the outside of the window on the sill between the screen and the window. then bettter TV reception.

Buy a better antenna. Rabbit ears have there own problems.
Follow link below.
You know that the Cable companies offer a service for like $6-$10
a month for about the same number of channels you get now. They don't advertise the basic service but they are required to offer it. Check into it.

An outside antenna would help a lot. Also a pre-amp will improve the picture. If you can't do an outside antenna try to find an antenna with a built-in amp. Also try to get the antenna up off of the set.

Hold one rabbit ear while extending your other arm out at a 45 degree angle. Wrap one arm in tin foil first.

I tell my childrens they don't understand how good they have it. whilst i grew to become right into a infant, i grew to become into the distant administration besides because of the fact the antenna. My dad could make me upward push as much as substitute the channel for him. I remember as quickly as, whilst i grew to become into shifting the rabbit ears, the image could get fuzzy as I walked away. as long as i grew to become into touching them, the image grew to become into sparkling. My dad made me stand next to the television, protecting the rabbit ears till the ball interest grew to become into over.
