you need to solicit the opinion of a professional who can actually examine you. this will not go away and all the answers you get here will be based soley on pure speculation. it is likely nothing serious, but for your own piece of mind, call your doc.

Hey mate, I had a kidney stone about 2 years ago, and had numerous x-rays, nothing showed up, also had an ultra-sound scan, again nothing showed up......I eventually passed a stone after about 3 months of the first pain attack, if you have a stone it will eventually pass, but if your still in pain keep going back to your doctors, I went almost every other week, i know how fustrated you must be feeling as I was just so annoyed that nearly everyone was telling me i had a kidney stone yet nothing was showing up on any x-rays or scans. If you've had a blood test done then that would have told the medical experts how your kidney function is...My advice is just keep pestering your doctor get some good pain killers and wait for the bad boy to pass!

I have kidney stones on and off for four years. Like you have the x-rays the lot and injections but the pain I know what your going through. But during that time I was told to drink plenty of water to help to flush the kidney stones. Try drinking barley water loads of it to try and move the stones.

kidney stones are not always visible in scans and x rays because of there size and some times they are not stones but gravel or sludge drinking allot of water does help to flush them out and drinking ibuprofen helps not only with the pain but with the inflammation the reason is that the stones or gravel don't pas is because they form inflammation, this inflammation is the real reason why they don't pass more easily and they get stock in the kidney causing more pain . Apple cider vinegar is helpful diluted in water diuretics also help

Not all kidney stones are visible on X-ray, so yes it could be one that isn't showing up on the picture. Some can also get stuck and need to be removed. Ask for an urgent referral to a urologist.

The kidnewy stones may still pass, but be sure to DEMAND proper pain killers while you are waiting.

I had this b4 and the only thing that worked was morphine or petidine. These are narcotic but if the pain is bad enough you may stress your heart.

The state of the health service is another topic!!

Good Luck.

If you are truly worried about your health then don't trust it to the NHS! The waiting lists are much too long and conditions can often worsen in the time thats without the worry and stress of not knowing whats wrong with you!
I suggest that if you are really worried then pay for private treatement. That way, ok it'll cost you but it will put your mind at rest and probably help to alleviate your condition!

Yes i am suffering like you, with a mysterious pain that is having me freak out too, But I keep going to the doctors and they see that I am really hurting and now they are looking for a lot of things and they are questioning my family history. You know too there are such things as cyst that comes and goes, not saying that this is your problem, but keep seeking and you will find out what is wrong.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

ask to be checked out for gall stones too,i had these and they went undiscovered for almost 3 years... my pain wasnt in the "usual" place and i didnt fit into the doctors category of fair, fat and 40 so they kept trying to fob me off

my suggestion is keep pestering the gp and if the pain gets bad go to a&e, thats how i got my diagnosis, 7 visits in 3 wks!

good luck with it all i hope this has helped a little.
