Reverend Jim Jones made his followers drink poisoned kool aid at Guyana in the 70's maybe late 60's. Bill is referring to those people as followers of a cult.

A Koolaid drinker is as one of your previous answers refer to. Rev. Jim Jones. His followers all drank poison laced koolaid.
I believe a koolaid drinker is someone who can't think for themselves. They need someone to tell them how to think and feel about an issue. There are alot of people on both sides in this country like that. A very scary thought.

...they drank a cheaper version of the unsweetened powder mix, called FLAVOR AID.
The empty packets are visible in some of the news footage shot in Jonestown at the time.

He is saying that the person has swallowed some particular belief without thought. It is a reference to Jim Jones and all the people who committed mass suicide with him, in Guyana. They drank poisoned Kool-aid. (early 70's, I believe)

Kool aide is a drink for kids. He means that they have a small mind, and can not grasp the material he is speaking on. That it is too tough for them to handle, that they need something a little weaker to make it go down easier.

back in the 70's there was a guy named Jim Jones who took 900 followers to Guyana and killed them by having them drink poison kool-aid .. so bill and others refer to any body who listens and believes in liberalism as making any possibly sense .. to be kool-aid drinkers .. suck it up ...
