fall

I'm from Holland, so definitely SUMMER and I also love it when in spring everything starts to come alive again. (always takes too long for the trees to get their leaves.)
Also having an hour more day light is a blessing!

My other favourite time of the year is when I'm on a lucky streak... (that doesn't happen easily you know...) and I really don't care what season it is at those times!

Autumn. The cool, crisp air, the gorgeous colors of the trees, the smell of something with apples baking in the oven, the sound of leaves rustling in the wind and a log crackling in the fireplace, the time of harvest, the season I was born in, the time of year that I fell in love, hayrides, marshmallow roasting!!! What's not to love? It's just too short!!!!!

I truly appreciate the beauty of the world in each of the seasons and marvel at how blessed we are to live in such a world that varies so very much.

Living in a holiday area - locally the seasons I prefer are late May/June and September/October, purely and simply that is when I can enjoy the place without its hoards of holiday makers.

Many years ago the one person in all the world that I have ever loved walked out of my life never to return. That was in October. Ever since then, I have never left October. I am still standing there in the falling leaves wondering what happened.

I love fall because of the colors! And I love the weather. It is still nice enough to do outdoor things (not to hot where you are sweating bullets and can to cold where you are shaking because of it). I have so many sweaters and jackets and this is the only time I can wear them. I actually can not describe in words way I like fall so much I just do!

October and March, when the weather is most favorable and
places are not overcrowded, because of holidays or kids out
of school.

you cannot beat winter in Scotland - especially on a cold day with a blanket of snow covering the hills and moors - reminds me of the snow scene pictures on Christmas cards!

Now, the fall is the best. Everyone's back from the summer, for better or worse, we're all back where we belong- and milder temperatures too.
