then why sometime we act as dictated by our heart?

Actually, no.

The computer may act similar to the brain, but it is no where as complex. If anything at all, the "self-regulatory systems" could be considered the BIOS. The Bios is what keeps your clock on your computer set, even when it is turned off, its what keeps Windows your Operating System, its function is to tell the computer how to "turn itself on correctly, etc" at start-up.

But, there is no "heart" like device for the computer. This is why Solomon declared ourselves to "be wonderfully made." Also, as the Bible says, sometimes the spirit is willing (meaning wanting to do right) but the flesh is weak. So, sometimes we do what our heart tells us, in spite of what we know to be right.

Hi! While the brain/CPU is the primary conductor of the body's systems, the heart is also intertwined in the midst. You see, when the brain is in thought process mode, the heart can create feelings that it wants to feel. This means, that all other systems are still active. The heart can feel,as well as the brain. The heart registers what the brain and other systems cannot. It registers love, anger, jealousy, and emotional being... These are the reasons why the heart sometimes dictates what you do or feel...

Yes, the brain is to the body what the CPU is to the computer.

The heart plays no role in our thought processes. However we are influenced by emotions, which according to tradition and literature originate from the heart. In reality, they too originate from the brain.

Because our brain is sometimes at the mercy of our BIOS (Biological Input/Output System)...!
