You spelled "theres" wrong yourself. It's "there's". Don't complain about others if you can't do it yourself. Also, you spelled awful wrong.

Because it shouldn't matter, the human brain doesn't care.

The same reason you've failed to use correct grammar, namely the lack of a capital letter at the start of your sentence. The internet is seen my millions as an unformal way of communication, a place with no corrections. When we write letters to people they are tangible, we can hold them and read them through once we're finished. The internet provides instant communication, and the lack of a tangible product to check before we send it away means we are less likely to bother checking our work.

Perhaps it's partly because they get little, if any, incentive in that direction from parents, teachers and leaders, in general.
It's a bad trend, too, because it diminishes the desire for exactitude in all phases of life, makes people lazy and eventually...doltish. (See: Oval Office occupant.).

I drives me mad too. Then someone else will moan that they can't help being a bad speller, but as I have said before on here to a moaning bad speller, my sister is dyslexic and can still use a bl**dy spellchecker!!
