I know I sound crazy but I'm watching the Braves @ Phillies Game. It's the 4th inining and he already has two homers. That makes 51. He only needs 23 to break it and the Phillies have 26 games left. I know it's unlikely but it's possible esspecialy the way he has been hitting lately. What do you think?

Yeah but barry's record shouldn't count because he used steroids... so if howard breaks Roger Marris' record.. he is the record holder for most HR in a season

I dont think he can do it this year but I really wouldn't be surprised if he broke it at some point in his career. The guy's on pace for 60 homers in his 1st full year...which is something nobody has ever come close to doing.

Ryan Howard may well break the season and career home run records, but he won't break the season record this year. He is a shoo-in for the NL Home Run title this year though.

It would be nice to see a young kid with talent not pumped up on steroids legitimately earn this record. It's highly unlikely for this season.

God has been sort to enable me stay right now.the following day might by no ability come.So I might desire to be happy approximately right now.And as quickly as I awaken on the morrow, the marvel of being alive is rather friendly. Have a superb day.

Only needs 22 now - I'd love to see him do it - anybody but Bonds, the king of steroids. Plus, I have Howard on one of my fantasy teams and all those HRs wouldn't hurt!!!

I think he will break the REAL record of home runs which is 61 by Roger Maris.
