Planning permission has been applied for by Lancashire County Council and Global Renewables to build a vast waste processing plant for household waste, only 30 metres from houses, at Farington Moss in Lancashire. there are considerable local concerns regards smells, bio-aerosols etc, Does any one have any information regarding the environmental impact of the far smaller site at Eastern Creek at sydney in Australia?

modern landfills don't really have the problems you described they arent rubbish heaps which is a different that would have the problems you mentioned, instead a landfill is actually good for the area for starters it can be used to produced electricity without the use of coal or nuclear energy

No but by any chance have they site it in a poorer area of the town???????

I bet they have because they think there will be less objections.

They tried it in Warrington.
