Go to Lowes and get Terro Ant Killer Liquid ant baits. You cut a corner off the bottom and place where you"ve seen ants. In a few hours the trap will be covered in ants. Let them return to their nest with the poison. You won't see any more ants. Cost under $6

find out where they are coming in and try to treat the area outside.....inside use a product called "Terro". You can get it at Home Depot. It's sugar water with 1% boric acid. The ants will love it. Don't clean it up....just put some on a piece of paper or something and let them have at it for awhile.

The only way to get rid of them is to throw out the food in the cabinets, find out where they're getting in, and spray in that spot. If it is a hole, you need to seal it. When they are all dead, you'll have to clean up the ants and poison, and only then will you be ready to replace the food.

Sprinkle boric acid around cracks and places where you see them coming in. Also sprinkle a little outside your windows & doors. This is only poisonous to ants - not humans or animals. You can buy this at any hardware or drugs store.

Keep the food put away where they can't get into it. Then try to find out where they are getting into your house. When you have that figured out, you can put whole cloves in that area.
Or, you can buy ant bait. Seems to work well.

Ant traps NEVER FAIL. They walk in and bring the poison back to the nest, they all die there. When you spray, you only get the ones you see.
