I have known her since Childhood.
5 years my Junior and She just thinks of me as a good friend , and thinks my " I need you in my life" is a Joke.
How do I make her realise I truely love her?

how are you going to feel if someone started saying they need you in their life?
you are just going to feel terribly awkward and it is going to make it difficult to be around that person, if you havent yet started having those feelings
no, get her to fall in love with you - surround her with love, comfort, acceptance, your great pleasure in her company, etc, until she feels safe and accepted and loved and enjoyed nowhere else half as well as she does around you - so that she turns to you for every comfort and safety and support, so that she is fulfilled nowhere as well as with you, so that she becomes experienced in feeling best around you
is your love just selfish, what you want from her? - are you just expecting her to devote her life to satisfying your desire for her? - what have you thought of providing for her? - what are her wants and needs? - does your love cool at the thought of meeting her needs and wants? - if she was happy without you, would you rejoice in her happiness because you really love her, because you enjoy her happiness, wherever she finds it? [while feeling sad for yourself]
it is one thing to yearn to have her in your life, but to say you need her in your life sounds as if you are going to be leaning on her, exploiting her for your needs
always remember that anyone can be run over by a bus any time - fulfillment in life cannot depend on another person, it is found within - happiness with another is only possible when you dont need anything from them, when you are completely independent of need to suck another person - when you can enjoy them as an extra on top of perfect fulfillment from within - when you wont fall over if you lose them - love between people is supposed to be like two flowers smiling at each other, not like a clinging vine, weighing the other down
that is what i am writing now, i may think differently in a minute or a day - what do i know?

I have a friend like this.. I fell madly in love with her at first sight..I still love her madly.. she knows this but she lives her own life. Nothing changes this love.. it si a s strong today as it was 15 years ago..because she has chosen another this brings another facet of love into view.. Am I bitter?.. Not at all.. Love sometimes means letting go..do I love her less? I love her more.. would I have her should she come to me.. do doubt.. keep her prisoner? NEVER!.. If you love.. then love fully and completely.. Be as ready to let go as you are to hang on.. and never, not ever keep love prisoner.. it is like picking a rose.. you kill it forever..

You can't........let her go, someday she may come back to you when she herself realizes that you love her. Until then live your life and don't give a life with her a second thought. She may never have those feelings for you, you have to accept that. A friend of mine passed away a few weeks ago...he had those feeling, and I loved him, but not like that......a person can't help it if they don't feel it......we can't control how we love a person, often its not the the way they want us to love them.

Well, define 5 years your junoir. If she's a minor, stay away buddy! you want to go to jail?

Try being direct....beating around the bush won't solve anything...if she's interested, she'll respond favorably. If she doesn't, then you'll know for sure.
