My high school newspaper staff came across the book Post Secret by Frank Warren. The book is made up of post cards random people send in about a secret. They illistrate their secret and its published. I think its a great idea. Our editor thought it would be a great idea to do somewhat the same thing in our small town in Oklahoma and throughtout our high school. Does this sound cheesy or cool ?

I haven't seen the book but I visit http://postsecret.blogspot.com all the time. I think it's a great idea, the problem is the response. You'll need a sufficiently large population to get a decent response. Post Secret has gotten national exposure so they get a great response.

I say it's worth a try.

I'm not familiar with book or the idea behind it, but I think it could be made distinctly your school's or your town's way so that you would get the responses you need (adding to the answer above). Give it a try, but give it a local twist, if you can. Good luck.

i love the idea. it shows people at their most real, most vulnerable, without exposing their identity. i always try and imagine whose secret each is when i visit the website.
