i have looked on maytag.com and can not find out anything

Call Maytag with the serial number and model. That should be the ballgame

Ask to look at the manuel, the copyright should be posted in there. You might be able to find it on the ID tag or take the number and call a Maytag dealer who would know from the number. There value depends on the orginal coast, the age, how much it was used. A dealer can give you an idea to the value too.

Because you can buy the bottom of the line Maytag (which is still the greatest) for about 350.00, I would never buy an old one from anyone...............I have only bought 3 Maytag washers and dryers in my life and definitely I am a granny.

If you have the model # you can find the information. Value depends - some people are tough on appliances. Why not "test drive" it with a load?
