Every CON here thinks that us independent thinkers are morons for believing 9/11 is a government conspiracy, when we know more people are jailed for conspiracy in this country than anywhere else. Why is Conspiracy a dirty word when it suits the death Penalty, war mongering, hypocritical NEOCONS.

Actually, most people are in jail for drug-related crimes, statistically.

But the reason that federal conspiracy charges are so popular is that violation of federal conspiracy laws (18 USC 371) is just so darn easy to prove. It's a felony that can be proven with nothing.

All that is required is to show two people, who acted together at any point (thus allowing the inference of an agreement), and that one of them did something which hindereded, delayed, interfered with or otherwise added any difficult to any part of the US govt doing its job. So, any action which added even a miniscule amount of bureaucratic overhead counts.

I'm helping two attorneys defend some people charged with violating federal conspiracy laws (18 USC 371), and the govt is not required to show how the govt was harmed, or what adverse effect (if any) against the govt occurred.

I think you are confused about the word conspiracy, which has different meanings. People in jail are most likely charged with conspiracy to commit a crime (like murder) which means they were actively planning and intending to do it.

On the other hand, the government as a whole is not efficient at getting any job done, let alone a vast conspiracy. Just look at Nixon. They didn't kill anyone, they just stole some documents, but how quickly their plot inraveled. If 9/11 was a vast neocon conspiracy, then wouldn't we be hearing leaks about specific details?

9/11 was a small war crimes compared to the US terrorism crimes..

the barabarism displayed in Iraq is some.. what should be a major concern is that Bush and Neo-Cons think its normal to use TORTURE. Both neocon and democrats thinks its ok. the truth is
that a administration able to LEGITIMIZES TORTURES is also able to order terrorism act like 9/11..

a country administration which plotted to invade another on false pretense such as WMDs is guilty of conspiracy.. a country that bomb and helpless population ( Iraq, and lebanon) is guilty of
BARBARISM and MURDER..

Messieurs, THe US is into a free fall into fascism, it has lost its conscience..

Hum... tough question.

I honestly think that republicans refuse to believe that our government was behind 911 for a few reasons:

1. They literally don't want the truth.. seriously. If they had to accept that truth then that would mean we are an evil country and their minds could not handle that.

2. Accepting that would mean they could no longer use their double standard to judge anyone who opposes their point of views.

3. I really believe some of them don't care. They like the fact that Bush is a neanderthal that is bullying the world. They get off on the power and hold no regard for human life.

Your premise is not only wrong, but inane.

You cannot prove your assertion. However you are a doing a good job of proving conspiracy nuts are truly morons.
