When I was young, The only movie I couldn't watch was House(1986) with William K, aka greatest american hero. That movie is a joke when I see it now though. I have seen alot of would be scary movies but the only thriller lately that has freaked me out was The Ring. Alot of people don't find it scary, but I knew nothing about it, I was alone in a dark house with sound up loud when I first watched it. That had to have something to do with it.
The best, has scary moments, The remake of Capefear with Nick Nolte, Robert DiNero

The movie Seven with Brad Pitt. I don't know if I would say it was the "scariest", but by far the most disturbing. I was freaked out for quite a while after seeing that! Also, I was a teenager during the Freddie Kruger movies. I was scared ***less back then. I don't know if they would have the same effect on me now.

The Ring. it gave me nightmares for a week about that girl, samaura. The Omen is kinda freaky too

i always thought the movie event horizon was pretty creepy, but you can't beat some of the classics like nightmare on elm street , texas chainsaw masasacre , night of the living dead.

"The Omega Man" I was 4. It scared me so bad the other night (30ish years later) I was looking thought the TV Guide and saw that it was on and I just about had an anxiety attach.

Watching the Freddy Kreuger series all in one sitting... (same plots) it was scary but so much fun
