As long as permission is given why not. We have Filipino nurses all the time in Vienna. Since the native Austrians don't like the trade. Why go to the States? there are plenty of good places in Europe. and you still get your Heath insurance and pension. see how much insurance is in the States first, I wouldn't go for the best paid job to the States! to many down sides

As long as they're in the country legally and are fully qualified it shouldn't matter where they nurse. When I finish my nursing degree I plan to go and nurse in other countries.

I work with several nurses that have come from the Philippines to work here. They all HATE IT!!! They only giving you housing for a year, then you have to find it. They make $20.00 less an hour then me. They all miss their families. I would not recommend it

i am proud to say some of the best nurses i have worked with are from the phillipines they are very consciencous as well as patient friendly. it does not matter what country a nurse is from as long as they have the right credentials (degree) and have the dedication to help sick people.

I think many Filipino nurses are compassionate and caring brought about by their christian upbringing.

Why not? If they are well qualified in nursing and have a good bed side manner then of course!

They're HOT!!!
But seriously, the ones I've dealt with all seem competent and professional. I have no qualms whatsoever with their skills.
It is unfortunate that the compensation for that profession isn't adequate to attract enough 'homegrown' people to the ranks.

We have a shortage of nurses here in the U.S., so we need to import them from other countries.
