When you go to the spiritual world, Cobain isn't there. Since this is what he wanted, I guess in a way he got it and in a way he didn't. After he killed himself, Nirvana's record sales tripled in two months. He is now remembered as a great artist, which he was. However, he is also a legend and a commodity, which he hates. He would hate grunge nostalgia. So by doing himself in, ironically, he hasn't faded away. He has just burnt out. If he had really wanted out, he would have moved to Hawaii and lived in a condo for three years and taken up sculpture, surfing, yoga and painting.

Kurt is a legend.


No one knows if he actually committed suicide. It was never investigated properly at the time but there is a lot of evidence to prove he was murdered and was only planning on leaving the music industry.
