Check with an herbalist.

If you are referring to old spell ingredients, you have to remember that back in the day herbs were named by what they looked like and not by a Latin name as Latin didn't make it that far north back then. Most botanists and herbalist have a good idea what the 'old' names were for the herbs before the Latin names came into use.

Now then, child, what are you after? Ear of Bat? There's no cause for going around cutting one ear off of the bats...never mind both ears. Besides, we've graduated from using that. You need to go to Wal-Mart and check in the bait department. They'll have everything you need.

For $500, I will send you a map to a cave I know where you can cut off all the bat ears you want.

I hope Rev amy 's answer is good enough because real bats are protected by law. You could face prosecution for willfully harming one.

You must first locate a bat, and then remove its ear.
