So it's the dumbest question ever? You havn't heard a dumber question than this one. I mean logically it does mean that team USA could have lost. I'm just looking for opinions. What the hell is the insult for? I've never done anything to you!

I would like to thank everyone else for their nice answers☺☻<-- Smilies

I have no idea. That made no sense to me either. I thought after Spain lost Gasol that Greece would win for sure. Now I'm just confused. Maybe Greece gave it their all when they faced the US and after that they had nothing left for Spain. But Spain really deserved it if they won without Gasol. Good for them I say. I'm sure they could beat the US, but the only way you would really know is if they actually play each other.

NO. USA lost to Greece because of their poor shooting, offnight, lack of defensive intensity, and careless turnovers. in other words, USA losing to Greece is something that happens one out of a hundred times. i wouldn't be surprised that if both teams play at their regular level, USA will destroy Greece by 30 pts. afterall, Greece has only beaten Australia, a team that lost to USA by 40, by a very narrow margin on free throw shooting. plus, USA has too much fire power for Spain to handle. I would say that even if Spain had Gausol, they would still lose to USA by 20.

No! They lost to Greece because they weren't able to make free throws or hit jump shots. The US team is too talented and the coach too smart to let that happen two games in a row.

That means that USA COULD have lost to Spain... but it's obviously not a garuntee that they WOULD have... that's the dumbest question ever.

REALLY smart question. seriously. no joke. anyway, they probably would have, but if they corrected their mistakes that they made against greece, then they might have won. but one thing you have to consider, greece played the best defense in the touney. spain doesn't. that also gives the u.s a chance.
