I think you have to report that income also to the judge who gave the order of child support

Years ago, it use to be that a ex spouse could take 17% of the non-custodial parent's entire income. This has since changed, and most people are going back to court to have their order set at a flat rate, rather than a percentage. Courts now take into consideration the payer may have another family to support and as long as he/she is meeting her initial obligation, then they won't take from another income. I've seen alot of cases on this very issue come up. Most often the ex finds out and wants more money. In the last five years, since the new law went into affect, I have yet to see anyone awarded support from additional income.

Child support doesnt care how many jobs you have as long as your acct is up to date, and neither do the courts, but should your wife find out, she can and probably will petition the courts for a remodification hearing concerning spousal support for more money. But no the courts or state wont notify her

If their already garnishing from one pay check, and your up to date on your support, I don't think they can raise the support to take more out of the 2nd check...unless of course, his ex does find out about it and takes him back to court for it. In the mean time, I'd keep my mouth shut, and not tell anyone...that way, once it comes out in the tax's next year, he'll be done with this second job. They {may} take it out of your tax returns....but you should at least be able to have the funds in the mean time.
Good Luck

If you are paying child support, it doesn't matter if the other parent finds out or not. You are paying your child support. Now if you weren't paying anything, then you would have something to worry about. As long as you keep up with the payments, that's what matters.

The whole point of child support is that your child benefits from whatever kind of life you're leading, just as if he or she were still living with you.
You are not cheating your ex out of money. You are stealing it from your child.
Shame on you.

In texas you pay 20% of all your income. Why wouldnt you want to report it? Im sure you want your child to be taken care of. They will find out eventually.
