A good book that I have found is "The Proper Care and Feeding Of Husbands" by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. I read the book (as a male) and found that the missing components in my relationships are contained therein.
Sex is important as that is how men express love. Show me a sex-deprived guy and I'll show you one who is thinking of leaving.
But I think when your spouse takes your needs / wants for granted or isn't interested in you, that is probably the worst crime one can commit. I know a bunch of guys who are neglected by their wives because they are caught up in their careers, kids, etc that their husbands become a last priority in their lives. They aren't happy people.
I think when you start dating people, you are trying to impress that person and be nice to that person. Somewhere along the line of long-term dating / marriage that gets lost. Those that have successful marriages tend to be able to recall that magic.
Definitely check out the book though. It really struck home with me.

Independent is definitely right up there, but I'd say secrets to keeping it going, if they're secrets, include:
1. trust - I need to know I can trust her.
2. Personal persuits - She has to DO something. Anything. My wife decided to be an actress last year - I would never have chose it, but it really makes her happy.
3. Positivity - no downers allowed. Please.
4. Communication. I really want someone I can enjoy just talking with on a regular basis.
5. Appearance - she's got to stay 'hot' to stay engaging at the highest level.

Even tempered would be nice ,the whole spikey graph thing freaks me out. Independent is good, but from the mans side feeling needed to a degree is good. Trusting ,even if you 're not ,pretend to be. Mysterious to a degree, but not so much that he can't figure you out, (an easy puzzle).Hard to read ,no over half the time we are wrong now, if you are deliberately hard to read how can you expect us to ever get it right. Back to sex, sexual and sensuous are good qualities.

Plan personal time together where you split the time between doing what each other likes. For instance, the woman should go fishing with the man one time, then the man should go for a walk through the woods the other. Just do what you both like doing and enjoy the time you have together. I like a woman to be honest, open, and upfront with me. I also want them to share and not be selfish.

Being a man, I hate guessing games. I like it when my wife is open and not afraid to tell me when something is wrong or right. Being a strong secure woman, though sometimes might drive us mad, but deep down there is a connection there that we wouldn't have with any other human being. Being yourself and not compromising is the way to go. It doesn't sound exciting but it is.

What kind of question. Niether of them should have to do anything. they got married because of an everlasting love, a bond that will never die, you can't just say "ok i'm bored with you" and move to the next one!!! Ik i'm a girl answering this but common. He's not good enough for you to marry if he's gonna get tired of you.

Sex doesnt have a thing to do with it. Its when you can walk into the room and he remembers all over again why he married you. if men were in it just for the sex....there would be alot of blind men!....think about that....you'll get it in a few....

give your man respect for what he does as a career be it executive or maintenance man, show interest in his interest and support his goals. if he gets these 3 things and sex, he'll never have to look anywhere else.
