Conservative talk radio. Often it is simply fear of the unknown or unfamiliar. In the Marine Corps white, black and hispanic were thrown together. You had no choice in whom your bunk mate might be. White rural boys fresh off the farm were thrown together with people of all races who were from the inner city. Fights broke out simply because of differences in race and culture. After awhile you learned there were more similarities than differences. No matter what color your skin or type of background you came from you all suffered the same. I see the same thing happening with the war on terrorism. There are those who hate all Muslims because of their differences and their religion and don't make the effort to treat everyone as individuals rather than as part of a monolithic entity. Hating is easy, understanding takes effort.

Fear and anger and some times people have good reasons. I hate the killers of children for example. I hate terrorists and I hate countries like Cuba and China and the now de-fanged USSR.

Self-protection, lack of understanding, lack of self-knowledge, preservation instinct " one against the others mentality", aversion due to outside influences or environmental ones, brainwashing.....lack of self love......really !
When the ego gets bruised and cannot deal with it nor understand......this leads to hatred.
Not talking about food here.......
Just generally speaking.
People also tend to hate what they unconsciously know in themselves and reject it. A projection question. A part of themselves which they would rather deny or either envy. Jealousy is also a part of it.
People tend to dislike what they burry deep down in their subconscious also only to meet it on the outside.
ignorance, napoleon 'complex (I am better than "them") rather than accept our differences and ultimately too many times our likenesses.
Hate is a very negative feeling. Only brings black clouds, depression, bitterness instead of open-mindedness and a more open "spirituality".
That said........we are alllll mortals aren't we..??
Could hate be justified if one psychopath has killed your child ???
Double-edge question........very vast !!

People who hate are people with pain and low self-esteem. They can be children who were raised solely on hate and that is all they know and the vicious cycle continues.

Hate breeds hate it is a sort of rape that it plays against itself. Hate breeds hate as if it were a type of incest. Those that are victims of hate often become the haters...
