I would prefer to hear the bad news first, I have no idea as to why but I think its because it just seems logical to me to hear the bad and not dwell on it after I hear the good news and be relieved. Somehow that works for me. (If you can understand it.)

If you ask to hear the bad news first then you have something better to hear afterwards.
Whatever the good news is it will cheer you up.

I would say good, cause then you are all excited and happy, and then the bad comes and you are either still excited cause of the good news, or back to being the way you were before either news.

god can made the bad seem not so bad so good first because if you get good 1st you might not listen to the bad news and won;t have to worry.
