The U.S. is the international watchdog for countries wanting and/or amassing nuclear weapons. She also has her own stockpile.
Surely other countries also have superior capabilities wherein they know exactly where OUR nuclear weapons are stored.
Such countries also know about the nuclear capabilities (and stockpiles) of other locations throughout the world.
I believe the capabilities in MANY other countries are far beyond what the U.S. has discovered behind its "nuclear" microscopes, especially since her 'intelligence' is so sadly lacking.
South Africa has not attempted to conceal her already up and running enrichment of uranium (for energy purposes of course). Apparently they have been doing this for quite a while.
So..despite the US and its giant capabilities... who else is getting there, is almost there, or is already there when it comes to the nuclear arms race.
(It is apparent that Israel has nuclear weapons.)
(.Cuba.remains quest. despite reports she has none)

Japan has the capability, but not, as yet, the will. North Korea may change their minds.

China has nuclear weapons, as does Israel.

Venezuela is unlikely to want them...they have oil, as does Saudi Arabia.

South Korea has the U.S. and Japan to provide a nuclear deterrent to the NK threat.

NOBODY knows EXACTLY where ALL of the US weapons are, since some of them are in our ballistic missile submarine fleet. Whenever a boomer sets sail, and there are ALWAYS some on patrol, it becomes the third-largest nuclear power on the planet.

China.
But China will never, EVER nuke the U.S nor will the U.S ever nuke China, because if that happened, then both the U.S and China economies would fail instantly, because those two countries are too dependant on each other.

We should not be too concerned about one or two nucs. And if someone were to use them on us we would be very angry. As in dust their butt.
It's not the nucs, its the virus. They spread more thoroughly with less effort. They're just not as quick.
