I was strolling along one day pondering a question about compasses in space when I chanced upon a wishing well….. I threw in 20p and wished for a good return on my money. As I glanced down at my hands I noticed that I’d forgotten to wash them after applying false tan… they’d gone orange. I leaned over the well to rinse them in the water, missed my footing and fell in hitting my head as I did so. It was so painful I started to cry under water …. this made me choke. I surfaced and in an attempt to get as much air into my lungs as I could I started breathing through my nose and mouth at the same time….. unfortunately I got a 20p coin stuck in each nostril and I swallowed a third! The moral of this story is ‘Be careful what you wish for’.

Does that answer any of your questions?

I can't. I can only breathe out of my mouth if my mouth is open. (Duh!) But I can only breathe out of my nose if my mouth is shut. Or at least I have to arrange my tongue in a way that blocks all air flow through my mouth. Apparently some people can. Boy, do I feel left out.

Yes. Lean against a cool window and do just that. You'll see 3 steam marks - 2 nostrils and 1 mouth.
