In the past weeks I have read a number of questions from Christian couples and divorced or separated Christians with regard to sexual dysfunction. I was raised Roman Catholic and was wondering if there is something in the (Christian) teachings screwing you all up?

Yes, we are taught(indirectly,not straight from the Bible) that sex is a nasty, horrible, dirty thing that only the sinful do.

There is absolutely NOTHING in Christian teaching that causes sexual dysfunction in relationships. On the contrary, the teachings tell us that the marriage bed is undefiled, therefore couples are free to explore whatever is comfortable to them in their sexual relationship together. (I stress the word, together! This does not mean bringing other people into the relationship!)
Ephesians 5:21-33 lays out the ideal conduct of spouses; telling them to submit to one another and that the husband is to treat the wife as he would his own body. If married couples would behave this way, there would be no divorces and no dysfunction.

there may be something in Catholic teaching; I don't know b/c I am not nor ever was Catholic. but I think in Christianity in general, it's not necessarily what the Bible says but the guilt trips that parents and ministers and other well meaning adults try to lay on kids growing up to keep them from messing up. They start to associate sex with sin, instead of just promiscuous sex, so even when they are happily married, there's still that fear that they are doing something wrong by having sex.
a lot of times, seeing a good counselor can help them to realize and deal with that.

No, it has nothing to do with being a Christian. Christian couples are just seeking answers together.

It could be (not speaking from experience, just venturing an opinion) that a lot of christian people view sex as something sinful and dirty.

yeah, its called Jesus. People raised to think sex is dirty and wrong tend not to enjoy it, leading to some serious dysfunction in the bedroom.

I think that you should just keep busy
When you go out GO OUT don't ever bring each other back to be alone.
