My friends and I were discussing this and we could not figure out one FAMOUS male Asian actor in Hollywood who doesn't play either a geek or a martial arts master. And I don't mean some obscure supporting role or hardly known TV show.
The only one we could think of is John Cho from Harold and Kumar.......
I honestly think it's quite sad that Hollywood doesn't cast Asians to be main characters without them portraying a stereotype. Please help me figure this out.

BD Wong... he's on a small TV show called Law & Order: SVU. It's only been on for 5 years. He was also in a tiny movie called "Jurassic Park"
How about Mikhail Baryshnikov? He has never played a Kung Fu guy! He's from Russia... so that makes him Asian, right?

(this isnt in the US) in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Katie Leung plays Cho Chang. Jon Cho is also in Big Fat Liar, not portraying a stereotype

i presumed via Hollywood action picture you meant video clips approximately Hollywood. My in demand is a significant call is Born with James Mason and Judy Garland. you rather get the belief of what Hollywood is like. great, great action picture.
