In 2003 my parents did a major renovation to their home - new siding, a wrap-around porch, landscaping, etc.

My father passed away that December, and never got to see the completed product.

This year, for Christmas for my mom, I'd like to find someone who could take pictures of the house (I would provide) and create a ceramic Christmas village house (the kind that has the light inside). I could provide measurements and all, but I can't seem to find anyone who can do this (and I'd be surprised if SOMEONE wasn't doing this out there in the world).

My mom has several of these houses that she puts up every Christmas, and it would be great to have one that looked just like the house.

Obviously cost is an issue, but I know a custom piece won't be inexpensive. I really just want to find a company or individual who can do this.

Please, serious responses only.

Thanks for your help!

Please don't say "Yes look on ebay." Be specific.

This is a great idea, and it would make a lovely keepsake to be passed down through the family. I was wondering if you have a local ceramic's shop or art school. If so, they could turn this into a class project, and you would only have to pay for the materials.

If not, I just found "Maria's Creations" on Yahoo search. Click on her "Lovely Houses," and you will see that she seems willing to work with you to make a replica of your house. I don't think they are lighted houses, but you can buy the light in any craft store.

I hope you can find someone who will make this a very special and meaningful gift for your mother. I know she will be so pleased at all the effort and thought you have put into this.

I hope this helps and please let us know how it goes.
