Okay....I am 15 and my parents will not allow me to get a cell phone. I am thankful that i don't have bigger problems, but this has just gone too far. I have begged them since I was 11 and they said I couldn't get one even if I pay for it. They do not respect the fact that if I was caught up in an emergency or important situation, I would not be able to call anyone, not even the police to get help. Not only do other people at my school make fun of the fact that I don't have one, but if I ever have to walk home alone I don't feel safe. I have been places where I have waited for my parents to pick me up for over an hour, and I a sitting there all 60 minutes or more wondering where they are and if I am safe. I have terrible self esteem issues and I come home balling that upperclassmen and other students constantly harrass me about the issue. It hurts so badly inside that I have to go through this daily and I am not even allowed to buy one with my money. What should I do??!!

okay laugh it off tell the other guys that its really sad that they need a cell phone and you think it halirous how depnedant they are on it... okay thats my view on phone and what id do in you situation. if you feeling vulnerable take some self defense classes a cell a phone can be forgoten in a time of need out of batteries signal whatever but that will insure more protection. and ifyour party life is soo wild that you need a cell rebel and buy one.

Respect ur parents wishes, afterall they're the ones who'll have to fork out the cash. They apparently think ur too young and not responsible enough yet. Patience is a virtue, learn to live with it and quit complaining.

So you don't have a cell phone--boohoo. There are payphones, the buddy system, and even neighbours around you can utilize. Listen to your parents--you don't need a cell phone and stop bowing to peer pressure!

I think youre old enough to have a cell phone and you sound like you need one but if your parents wont give in then theres really nothing you can do about it. I wish you luck in getting your phone..

If you buy one with your money, can you pay the subscription bill each month? If not, forget it.
