I think you could be right.
I do live in a very multicultural city and have seen the majority of mixed couples very loving, but there are some that seem to be together for the wrong reasons:
Sometimes it seems the Black man wants to date a White woman because he thinks no matter what she looks like or acts like that white is "classy", even if she is a tramp.
Sometimes it seems like a White woman wants to date a Black guy because no matter how suburband he might be she thinks he is "tough" or "urban"... Or she is dating him to be controversial to her friends or family.
I think you should date who every you want, as long as you actually like them, not just what they "symbolize" to you.

I'm not sure why some white women get into an interracial relationships for the wrong reasons, but I do know why some black men do it. Some black men hate how some of us black women's attitudes are, so they go to a white women so they can see how things can be different.

I've never seen this. Usually there is only love between interracial couples and the only time they even notice each other's race is when people outside of the relationship make it prevalent.

Sorry, but this question is really old.
I suppose some BM and WW date for the wrong reasons. But really does it matter? Like you said most black women & white men don't even care.
I really don't care who any white or black person dates - it's none of my business. Why should I feel that a white person has betrayed me for dating interracially? I don't know them! The only thing that connects us is skin colour.

I noticed the same thing, but was accused of being a racist just because I noticed it. I was also accused of being jealous, which is ridiculous! I date anyone of any color, but since black men don't seem to be attracted to me, I usually date puerto ricans or white guys. I don't know why black men date white women. Some say that white women are easier to get along with. Would that be considered a racist comment? Wow, black men who don't like their own race. Sad, but that's what it's comming to.

What? I think people get into relationships because they're attracted to each other. And why just white women and black men? If your theory is correct (which I doubt) Asian men and white women, and Native American women and white men...they ALL must do this. I don't see that at all.

I think some *humans might get involved for the wrong reasons. then again, "wrong" is a subjective term. define "wrong" and who's standard justifies it as being wrong? Also, i do not understand the intent of your question. If you are trying to draw specific conclusions about interracial marriages, i think you are headed in the wrong direction. ^_~

I know people who are in interracial relationships that really love each other. But I am sure there are some unserious relationships out there who want to frustrate other people.

I don't care if a brother wants to date a white woman. I personally find white men and the latino papis fine as hell.
