Personally, weight should only be a 'big' issue when it's a health problem.

Yes, the ideology as of late that one must be barbie to be attractive is ridiculous. You look wonderful...there is something about a natural figure that is attractive.

Not that you can't be thin and attractive, but forcing yourself to be thin is unattractive. A curvy, soft figure is femine by nature; as a man I enjoy female characteristics, such as breasts, a soft stomach, curvy hips...

Madness. And I'm sure most (real) men would agree with me, curvy women look great. A boney, sickly figure is one of the most unattractive things ever. Eat healthy and do what feels right, imo.

Because if everyone wasn't trying to be skinny the multi billion fashion and couture industry would go bust! It is based on skinny, because skinny became the ideal of the model in the 60's with twiggy and it has gone down hill to heroin chic from there.

It is a suffering, it is a state of mind and body condition that actually requires dedication and will. It is not at all easy and most of them can't carry on an intelligent conversation so... What else do they have. My problem with it is that EVERYONE tried to include themselves in something that is only and should be only a spectator sport. Not all men are out there trying to stretch themselves into the height and stature of a Superbowl football star, because men really don't care.

"How do you write women so well?"

" I start with a man, and then I remove accountability and reason." As good as it get's.

Women know men like to ogle at these broads in their un obtainable conditions and so they kill themselves trying to fit into Cinderella's shoe.

I have never been petite or a stick figure. If you are happy with yourself and do right by you what does it matter what others think. In your pic you look healthy and happy and in the end that is all that matters. I am extremely happy that I don't look like a walking skeleton and it makes me feel good knowing that if the world floods I will float and someone is going to want my extra pounds to hold on to...ha ha...Have a good day!!!

It's only a big issue if you allow it to be. If your just a little thick then thats clearly no big deal, and anyone around you who makes it seem like a big deal have thier own beauty issues. Don't let their issues become your issuses. However, if you one day eat too much and become unhealthy, in an obese way, then weight becomes an unhealthy physical problem that you need to fix.

Clearly there's a balance in life, you don't want to be extremely fat, and you don't want to be extremely skinny in a unhealthy way. Make your own guidelines for your own body in terms of what you think is too big or too small for your build. Everyones bodies are different. Whats too big or too small for one persons body may be different on yours, depending on how tall or short you are, or what build you have etc.

Keeping yourself fit during your younger years has alot of impact on your body as you get older. Walking is the best exercise you can do. It works every muscle in your body and also releases chemicals to keep your joints lubricated. People are obese because they choose to be that way. And by that I mean laziness and gluttony. At every meal, you should only eat the amount of food that equals the size of your fist. Look at the people that go have gastric bypass surgery done. They literally staple your stomach smaller because it has been stretched so much by over-eating. Therefore, less food intake.

I don't want to be skinny, I did for a while, but now I just want to be slim, shapely and toned. I was unhappy because I have 38 inch hips, but I'm thinking of having liposuction instead, as I don't want to lose weight anywhere else, than my hips, butt and thighs. Take care : )

Because fat people are the last group in society about which people can make fun and no one seems to worry about being politically correct here. It is terribly difficult to be fat and unless you are or have been, you just have no idea how damaging it can be to the psyche. Further, it is dangerous physically yet it is sooo difficult to change.
