cleaning an HE washer?

how would i go about cleaning the inside of my HE washer (soap build up etc)? i was thinking vingar but not sure any ideas

run an empty load cycle with vinegar in the soap dispenser. the high effeciency units are the same in this respect as regular units and even dishwashers. this will clean any soap buildup or hard water residue.

When my dish washer starts t smell I sprinkle a little Comit clenser around and it cleans up that problem.
