Prior union situation was an hourly amount paid & deducted by employer, and sent in to union with benefits. Workers sent in a request to draw vacation pay.

I am assuming that you are a constructoin electrician and as such go from job to job. Local 332 IBEW is your "benefits administrator" (pension, medical, vacations, etc), getting the money for these benefits from contractors with whom the Local has a collective bargaining agreement ("the contract').

As a member, you have the right to have a copy of that Agreement. In it you will find the vacation provisions and the necessary procedure/process to get vacation pay.

On the other hand, and much quicker, ask your Steward.

If you have been refused vacation pay for which you feel entitled, complain to the National Labor Relations Board (in the phone book under US Government).
