There are so many to choose more
Action: The Island b/c of the concept of the movie, the way it was filmed, the cast, and special effects.
Horror: Saw b/c of the plot and the shocking ending
Comedy: 40 year old virgin, cause it so damn funny
Romantic: The Notebook, b/c its not your typical predictable romantic movie
International: Maria Full of Grace b/c its seemed so real

The Lion King,

Great storyline (even with the similarities to Kimba the White Lion, google Kimba vs Simba to find out) excellent character design, music and production values.

And its SAD, characters DIE, which isn't done as well in any other Disney film IMO.

Cinderella, not the cartoon but the Rodgers & Hammerstein's version with Lesley Ann Warren when she was 20. It is so romantic, and the dancing scenes with the prince are wonderful.

Groundhog Day-1993

Phil Connors (played by Bill Murray) learns to become a better person by living the same worst day of his life over and over and over again. It's a modern day morality play. I enjoy the comedy (of course!) and also the idea that our lives--and the lives of those around us--can be better if we become kinder and more compassionate people.
