the box just will not turn on i ve change the batties still no change. box will not turn on if i press the on button on the bloody thing it just shows the red light

Turn the box off, switch it off at the socket switch, remove your viewing card, unscrew the LNB cable at the rear of the box (metal nut), remove the cable, Touch the copper center wire against the casing, wait another minute, refit everything and turn it on without your viewing card. Replace your card in the slot when it asks you to.

HAVE YOU TRIED SIMPLY SWITCHING OFF THE POWER AND LEAVING IT FOR 30 SECONDS. SWITCHING ON AGAIN WILL RESET THE RECEIVER BOX TO IT`S ORIGONAL DEFAULT SETTINGS. HOPE THIS HELPS. MIKE SMITH

hit it with a red handled screwdriver, if that doesnt work say "sorry mate, you need a new un"

i think its knackered. how old is it. it sounds like the old analogue one to me and if so its not being made anymore.
