Turtles are now in preparation for the winter. They have to gain a lot of fat so they can HIBERNATE and live to see the next spring. You bringing the turtle in will remove it from it's natural food sources and the shock alone may make it quit eating. So by the time it may actually eat for you it would be too late for it to gain weight. So even if you can get it to live until the winter comes, it won't live through it. You would've killed a wild animal, and that's just wrong. Go spend the few bucks and get one at a pet store, that's what they were bred for. Bringing wild animals into our homes is never a good idea and should only be attempted by wild life rehabilitation experts and I don't think you're one of those, are you?
If you cannot afford to buy one you won't be able to afford to keep one and maybe you need to wait until you can get a job and make some money to support the pets you decide to bring into your life. You owe it to your pets to provide them with the best life possible, incl. food, housing, care and compassion, time and vet care.

it is illegal to pull an animal out of the wild and keep it as a pet, if you want a turtle buy one at the store and make sure you get everything you need to take care of it properly, expect to spend at least 150, and make sure you get BOTH a heat light and a UVB light, they are 2 different lights no matter what the pet store tells you

You shouldn't have a turtle at home. Turtles are wild animals and shouldn't be captured. Especially to get it from the wild is an ecological crime - not to mention illegal.
