If so how long would it take for China to build its infrastructure up enough to do it?

they have over 600,000,000 million people living in poverty and at risk of death right now and no one is talking about it .
See we barrowed a few hundred billion and each year we have a surplus of potatoes corn wheat and we sell it to them at inflated prices which we are using to destabalize there nation .We make billions off them all the time and during this drought are making even more .

If China got rid of its Communist system, they might have a chance to be a major democratic power like Japan. (Isn't that how Russia got into the G8?) But to surpass the U.S.? Nah, nobody can, not even Japan, regardless of what everybody says.

That is so past tense.

150 years ago the Government started a propaganda champagne against China and drinking tea to stop the trade imbalance.

There is a 1000 year history of Europe trying the same thing.

Face it China has you hook line and sinker. Every time you go to Wallmart you are putting money in the hand of a Chinese plutocrat.

One thing is clear that USA is going down....she is loosing her superpower....

On the other side country like China or India gathering power...let see for 5 more years.

china has the money. Infact there not far from being in the G8 summit it would have to be G9

Depends. If it becomes a democratic state that could happen. If it doesn't it probably will not happen.

they wont they dont have the money value or the tecnology we have in military or goverment. and there still mostly communist so no it wont happen
