Do you know what type of spider this is?

I live in Hastings, on the south coast of the UK, and took this picture in my back garden.

I don't know anything about spiders, and I thought this one looked mad. I would like to know the name of it. I know it's not Horace.

your picture did not come through. Try doing a google search of Spiders of the United Kingdom or Spiders common to Hastings. Good luck, and great avatar!

Hmmmmmm. Look like an "invisible species" of some kind.
