When the narraotor of the story is biased...he or she isn't seeing the whole picture or giving all of the details.

baby girl is right. It's when the narrator of the story can't necessarily be trusted. He/she may be lying, or remembering things wrong, or biased. Often, you get the sense that the narrator is not being completely honest because he's trying to make himself look good. The Great Gatsby narrator is the classic example.

It means you dont have to rely on the narrator dont let him do the work
